The Graston Technique
The Graston Technique is a patented, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization technique. Dr. Gabriel is able to detect and effectively break down scar tissue and fascial adhesions using the instruments. Graston Technique has been clinically proven to achieve quicker and better results for both acute and chronic conditions.
The slide show below was designed to help you understand how Graston works:
When connective tissue, such as muscle, ligaments or tendons become restricted or scarred, it can result in pain, tenderness, loss of flexibility and motion. It is not unusual to find restriction in one or more parts of the body that are producing pain and dysfunction in another area of the body. These restrictions can occur after direct trauma to the body, such as a car accident or sports injury or from repetitive stress on the body over time.
Dr Gabriel has found that by performing Graston Technique in conjunction with Chiropractic manipulation she is able to decrease treatment time, reduce pain and increase function.
