How do I know if my condition is best served by a Chiropractor or a Medical Doctor?
Dr. Gabriel is fully trained to differentiate between diagnosis that respond well to Chiropractic care and those that need medical referral.
During your initial evaluation she will perform appropriate orthopaedic and neurological procedures that will help her establish the correct diagnosis. In some cases she may need to take X-rays or order advanced imaging, (CAT scan or MRI) during the evaluation process.
After your examination is complete Dr. Gabriel will go over the findings with you and discuss if you are a candidate for chiropractic care or if you need a medical referral.
How do I know if my pain is caused by a muscular problem or an alignment issue?
In Dr. Gabriel's experience most people she treats who are in pain are experiencing a combination of soft tissue dysfunction and misalignment.
After a thorough evaluation Dr. Gabriel will determine the source of your complaint.
Because many people need to have both soft tissue treatment and spinal realignment Dr. Gabriel has received additional training in Graston therapy (an advanced soft tissue treatment). By combining both chiropractic manipulation and advanced soft tissue treatment Dr. Gabriel gets superior long lasting results for many of her patients.
